I can’t stop buying apples this time of year. Apples from Hollin Farms, apples from Stribling Orchard, apples from Washington’s Green Grocer, apples from Trader Joe’s… they have gone in fresh juice, grilled cheese sandwiches, salads, and vegan caramel apple crisp bars…
We hosted Chris’ dad and uncle this past weekend, which gave me the opportunity to make two apple-related treats. First, some homemade apple cider after a long day of sight-seeing around the city. I juiced three pounds of apples, then referenced this recipe by A Beautiful Mess.
Two Peas & Their Pod recently posted a recipe that I couldn’t resist trying out: Peanut Butter Apple Cookies. We ended up eating a whole batch among the four of us over the weekend! (Note: This photo shows about 1/3 of the batch.)
But the BEST was eating a cookie along with a mug of hot cider. Let’s savor fall together with many apple-filled treats!
