If your office was closed yesterday, then today feels like a Monday! At least it’s a short week, but if you’re like me, you’re already thinking about making some exciting plans to look forward to… maybe a little happy hour?
Last week, my coworkers and I tried out Pinstripes in Georgetown for happy hour. Pinstripes is an interesting and delightful combination of bowling, bocce, and a bistro! There is a bar, a restaurant area, and different spots for games. Apparently, you can even have weddings at Pinstripes!
We had been talking about going to Pinstripes for some time. Our office regularly orders catering from there, and the food (pastas, salads and flatbreads) is always a huge hit. Pinstripes gave us a stack of free bowling coupons the last time we ordered catering, so naturally when my team started planning our next get together, we knew we had to try the place out!
Happy hour goes until 7:00pm (then runs again from 9:00pm until close), with deals on house wine ($4), draft beers ($3), and mixed drinks ($5). There is also an extensive happy hour food menu. We tried the spinach and artichoke dip along with a medley of delicious flatbread pizzas. Almost all of us ordered a personal flatbread, but since the portions turned out to be enormous, we ended up having a fun pizza-sharing party! Our favorites were the prosciutto fig, the grilled veggie, and the chicken avocado club.
We had a great time bowling, drinking wine, and eating delicious flatbreads. I wish I were better at bowling–I don’t think I even broke 75!–but the great night was truly due to Pinstripes and the awesome girls at my office. After we paid our tabs, our server left us with special wristbands which give us each a free drink every time we come back! Very fun.
As one of my coworkers mentioned, it’s helpful around this frigid time of year to have a good list of winter activities on hand. We think, and The Post agrees, that Pinstripes should be on your local going out list!
