But the thing is, the caramel plus buffalo sauce combination actually works incredibly well…
I heard about this popcorn on Bon Appétit’s recent Superbowl podcast (or “foodcast”). All of their foodies were nerding out over it, and I found myself coming back to it in mind repeatedly even days later.
So I asked Chris to pick up buffalo sauce the other day when he was making a quick grocery run. All of the other ingredients were ones that I had on hand already. I always forget that caramel is so simple to make — except, I did burn it the first time I tried this recipe and had to start all over from the beginning! Make sure you really do watch for it to turn that “deep amber color” since it may happen faster than you realize.
