A new homeworking agent has joined start-up Travelosophers after a 20-year career at Eton Travel.
Elaine Kane took voluntary redundancy in March after an office relocation.
She then researched home working travel agencies before opting to join luxury franchise business Travelosophers, which was established last autumn.
Kane said: “When I left Eton Travel I felt like I was leaving a family. However, in a short space of time, I certainly feel like I am part of another family and a much valued member of the Travelosopher team.”
She cited the company’s web-based technology and the ability to work from anywhere.
Her first booking was handled from her hospital bed after breaking her ankle at Easter.
“The CRM is very innovative with graphs and figures, so you can see how your business is doing,” Kane added. “My office is literally on my mobile phone.”
